John Stevenson, Managing Director

Qualified Supervisor's Certificate No: 58399S [Kenneth John Stevenson]

John has been in the construction industry for thirty eight years, commencing in 1964 with Kell & Rigby Pty Limited as an apprentice Carpenter and Joiner, progressing to the position of a Site Foreperson and Estimator prior to venturing overseas to the United Kingdom and Europe.

After a brief period of traveling throughout the UK and Europe, John decided to form Heathcote Construction and Stenik Developments.

Heathcote Construction traded as a general building company undertaking commercial and domestic contracts for private and corporate clients such as:

  • Office fitouts;
  • New build and refurbishments of Clubs, Hotels and Restaurants; and
  • New build and refurbishments domestic housing and apartment blocks.

Stenik Developments' primary function was to carry out property developments in the Greater London area.

Both companies traded from Stenik Development's freehold premises in North London, which consisted of 450m² of Office space and 1850m² of Joinery factory. Over the twenty five years, staffing levels rose from five to seventy-five.

John, having decided to close both companies in 1996, returned to Australia in December of the same year and took up employment in 1997 as a Senior Projects Manager with Group One Interiors Pty Limited where he remained until 1999.

In 2000 John formed Planned Integrated Construction Services (PICS), which provided Project Management services for commercial and domestic clients.

After closing PICS in 2004, John undertook a sojourn into the hospitality industry taking up the position of General Manager with Drummoyne Rowing Club and in 2005 with New Brighton Golf Club (NBGC). During his four years at NBGC, John was responsible for re-designing and project managing a major refurbishment of the Club premises.

John has now returned to the construction industry and has formed Stenik Construction Pty Ltd, a company incorporated to undertake all aspects of building projects.
